VMEX TAKES TROWELL RECOVERY TO PASTURES NEW

Derbyshire-based vehicle recovery specialist Trowell Recovery, is able to offer a UK wide car delivery and pick-up service with just two twin deck car transporters, thanks to the VMEX website.
VMEX, the industry website dedicated to filling empty slots on car transporters, has access to over 100 specialist car transport providers across Europe. It can arrange vehicle delivery by multi-vehicle car transporter, plated vehicle delivery, inspect and collect or specialist covered transporter.
“We started using VMEX about 18 months ago as it offered a solution to enable us to increase efficiency,” said Simon Garner, Transport Manager at Trowell Recovery. “We can send our vehicles out cost effectively, with the knowledge that they will be bringing back full loads on their return journey - which means no empty-vehicle miles, so no waste.

Trowell Recovery Services was set up in 1989 as a family run company, based in Ilkeston, and now has around 50 employees. The main bulk of its business is in vehicle recovery, but using VMEX has enabled it to open up a new avenue of business, transporting 20-to-25 cars per week.
